Kanken Mini Backpack by Fjällräven. A smaller version of the design classic dating back to 1978. Concealed zip closure on 3 sides for ease of use. 2 side pockets, single front pocket with concealed zip closure. Adjustable shoulder straps. 2 hand straps with press stud closure. Made from durable and lightweight Vinylon F. Fjällräven logo doubles as a reflector. Large interior pocket with address label stores padded sheet to help protect back, or sheet can be removed and used as a seat cushion. Capacity: approx. 7 litres.

The idea for outdoor equipment specialist Fjällräven, Swedish for ‘arctic fox’, started life in the early Fifties when founder Äke Nordin, then a fourteen year old boy, made his own backpack for a trek to a village high in the Swedish mountains.  Unimpressed by the unwieldy backpacks sported by other trekkers, he devised one with a frame that allowed the weight to be distributed more evenly across his entire back with increased ventilation between his back and backpack.
Having gained many requests from other trekkers for a backpack like his own, it wasn’t until a decade later in 1960 when Nordin officially launched Fjällräven, the range expanding from the iconic backpacks to incorporate a collection of related products including quality outerwear and accessories geared towards the great outdoors.
