Japanese friends, Atsuyo Yang and Akiko Mukae founded their eponymous children's label, Atsuyo et Akiko, in New York in 2007. With their respective backgrounds in fashion and fine art, Atsuyo et Akiko's approach to fashion accessory design now extends to selected children's clothing, bags, jewellery and homeware. A shared affinity for screen printing ensures that illustration and quirky phrasing is often added to everyday objects, imbuing each item with an inimitable whimsical edge.
