Having originally met as NYC fashion design interns, Cary Vaughan and
Jenna Wilson bonded over their mutual love of antique textiles, becoming
firm friends who, wishing to create “effortless clothes where the
fabric could speak for itself” launched ‘seasonless’ womenswear
collection Ace & Jig.
Having originally met as NYC fashion design interns, Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson bonded over their mutual love of antique textiles, becoming firm friends who, wishing to create “effortless clothes where the fabric could speak for itself” launched ‘seasonless’ womenswear collection Ace & Jig.
Inspired by found and vintage textiles such as the feed sack bags of antique French linens to Japanese Boro quilts, the fabrics are constructed with ancient hand looms to create tactile surfaces that are authentic and substantial, yet feel soft and worn. Vaughan and Wilson’s signatures stripes appear throughout their collections of casual basics, whether in solid blocks or as vibrant flashes of saturated colour. “We wanted to manipulate this cloth into aesthetically beautiful yet functional items. Accessible clothes that are not overstyled, pieces that you keep forever and love.” Ace & Jig is exclusive to Couverture in the UK.
