Having honed her skills at the likes of Marc Jacobs and J.Crew, Central Saint Martin’s graduate Araks Yeramyan harnassed her entrepreneurial spirit and launched her eponymous lingerie collection, ‘Araks’, in Spring 2000. Eschewing the elaborate detailing and underpinnings of familiarly overtly sexy underwear, Yeramyan’s collection is suitably pared down, comfortable and stylish, the thinking woman’s lingerie if you will. “It really fits a woman who has her own sense of herself, and wants her lingerie to match her personality…it’s pretty and people feel beautiful in it”.
