With an artist father and an architect mother, it seemed inevitable that Japanese designer Megumi Ochi should work in a creative field. Leaving Japan to study at the prestigious Cordwainers College in London, Ochi launched her eponymous shoe collection immediately upon graduating. Ochi’s trademark style is simple, pure, refined but in no way conventional, adding a touch of glamour or a modern vintage twist to even the most basic of outfits. Ochi explains, “Shape, line and balance are essential elements for my shoes… simplicity is the end and not the beginning.”
