After graduating from Central St Martins in London, Suki Cheema's travels to Southeast Asia and Australia the following year served not only to reinforce his love of foreign climes but provided a wealth of inspiration for his burgeoning textile career. Subsequent stints at fashion stalwarts Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and finally Diane von Furstenberg instilled Suki with the confidence to finally branch out on his own.

Subsequent stints at fashion stalwarts Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and finally Diane von Furstenberg instilled Suki with the confidence to finally branch out on his own. 

Returning to London, his eponymous Suki Cheema home and accessories collection was launched in 2010. Each collection is themed around a destination with cushions, rugs, throws and bags featuring hand silk-screened prints based on images from his trips. "I grew up playing with fabrics in my parents' clothing factory. I had an artistic streak as a child, and later on I studied fine arts. Instead of using canvases, I painted on fabrics."
