NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH / DRIDRI GELATO
Despite the lack of summer weather round these parts, we’re making like it’s 30C and taking regular jaunts to our local gelato haunt, DriDri on Portobello Road.
DriDri make all their gelato freshly every day and travel the world to source ingredients for their great selection of flavours, such as Spain for citrus, France for cherries, Madagascar for Vanilla and even good old Blighty for apples and pears. Add in to the mix that Gelato is a healthier option than your regular ice cream, and you can understand why we can’t stay away!
On muggy days like today, there’s nothing better than a refreshing sorbet and DriDri offers lots of fruity options to cool down with – the lemon sorbet gets our vote for being fresh but not too bitter.
We’re also big fans of DriDri’s visual identity – both the shop fittings and the packaging are given the rainbow treatment which, together with bold typography and graphics, gives it a pleasingly retro Italia look. Quirky illustrations on the wall add to the playful feel.
