Following Couverture’s recent travels to New York, we have put together a collection of our favourite images from the trip. Highlights included a journey to the East Village where we discovered some of our best loved US brands Steven Alan , Rachel Comey and A Detacher. Exclusive to us in the UK! We also managed to fit in a visit to the Wovenplay studio in Brooklyn where we had a chance to meet with the designers.

Designer Megumi Ochi has for us the easiest options to stay ahead of the game with no need for anti-blisters solutions. Inject a pop of colour with the Panton flat shoes or tap into minimalism with the Ligno black sandals, both will literally go with any outfit. For the ladies in search of a greater wow factor, Rachel Comey has teamed metallic blue with wooden heels, something we didn’t know would work so well! In Greek mythology Pero was the daughter of Neleus and Cloris and her beauty attracted many suitors, so much so, she got name checked in Homer’s Odyssey. For us, Pero is the childrenswear brand that dresses our daughters beautifully season after season. Lovely reclaimed lace and cotton in comfortable shapes and no ironing required! Legendary.

Couverture’s buying team have just returned from Paris with sacs un sacs of Madeleines and Macaroons, which have lasted almost a morning. Aside from the petit treats they also brought back plenty to look forward to fashion wise for Fall. A strict diary was needed as there was plenty to see and not nearly enough time to fit it all in. Notable highlights included the fabulous Fortunato twins Lizzie and Katherine on the first day, lot’s of lovely looks from Mina Perhonen as ever and some newbies to get very excited about too. With a packed schedule regular sustenance stops were a must, and the best meals were had at Bob’s Kitchen (Brunch, Lunch), Rino (Supper) and Rose Bakery (anytime!).
Lets not get ahead of ourselves though there is plenty to j’adore for Spring/Summer.
