‘Designed for Life in the Open’, pioneering US outerwear brand Penfield Inc. is unveiling its first ever kids collection for Autumn Winter 2014 with an exclusive launch at Couverture and the Garbstore this September. The collection is strongly influenced by the brand’s iconic mainline collection, reflecting the classic Penfield aesthetic, key styles and materials, but all adapted accordingly in construction and detailing for children.
Penfield CEO and Creative Director James Barshall spoke to us about the forthcoming launch and discussed the design process. “It’s about a fusion of function and fashion – it’s important for us to make products that are truly functional but that also look great and are comfortable to wear.”
Featuring an array of colours as well as seasonal prints the range is designed for strength, utility and durability, and will keep kids stylishly equipped for their own adventures in the great outdoors.
