This recent venture influenced by his passion for rockabilly culture – with each piece a direct reference to an iconic and much prized item in his vintage collection, which according to other collectors is one of the most comprehensive (and enviable) in the world.

More than just a homage to the past each piece is loaded with original details from start to finish: authentic materials, construction processes and dyes have all been applied where ever possible – although some of the pieces are so rare and so old that a few of the techniques have been lost with the passing of time.

Nigo has managed satisfy our love of vintage, our detail obsession and our desire to wear clothes which are relevant to now.

This season we have a wide range of styles to suit every taste, with offerings such as soft cotton scarves in discreet colour combinations from Danish label Karakoram that will blend seamlessly with existing pieces in your wardrobe.

Alternatively, we have a new label this season by the name of A Peace Treaty with a selection of delicately printed silk scarves that are created using traditional hand-crafting techniques from the countries they are made in, such as Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nepal.

I first encountered Pointer in 2006, they seem to be going from strength to strength with, in my humble opinion, their best Spring/Summer collection yet.

My favourite from this season’s collection is the Higgle.

First up, the cropped Lady jacket from Rachel Comey. In hand dyed linen with a block printed diagonal stripe pattern and scooped edges, it makes for an easy statement piece to sling over both casual and dressier outfits. Available in-store now and online soon.

Also by Rachel Comey, we have the Quip cotton blazer in brisk white. With subtle pinstripes, a shawl collar and three quarter length sleeves, it works just as well with tailored trousers as it does with denim. Available in-store and online soon.

Finally, from London label Von Sono, this lightweight wool cocoon jacket elevates basics with a minimal edge. Hidden fastenings and concealed pockets make for a sleek silhouette, while side cut-out details add a directional finish.
