An artful approach to cake decoration is understandably an inherent skill for Cressida Bell; a St Martin’s School of Art and RCA graduate, she has built a reputation for her beautiful textiles and artifacts for the home, as well as her illustrative work. She now brings an innovative and unique take to the art of cake decoration, with intricate designs influenced by her textile background. To coincide with National Cake Week, from 6th-11th October, Bell has designed us a beautiful cake to commemorate Couverture’s 15th anniversary. For the duration of the week, the bespoke cake will be on display in store, alongside signed copies of Bell’s bestselling book, Cressida Bell’s Cake Designs: Fifty Fabulous Cakes. Furthermore, Bell will be hosting a pop-up cake decorating studio within the store on Wednesday 8th October, with master classes on decorative techniques for our customers at 11am & 2pm.
