Helle Mardahl's Handblown 'Candy' Glass
Helle Mardahl is a Danish artist and designer whose work encompasses sculpture, installation, painting, fashion and interior design. Her ‘Candy’ series is marked by a sense of the ornate coupled with flamboyance which boarders on the lavish, whilst nodding towards the eccentric. Produced by hand in limited quantities, Helle Mardahl's work is truly unrivalled within the art and interiors worlds. Each design and every part of the collection is made by hand with precision and care - from glass blowing to assembly – and there are countless individual steps required for every single product before being ready. A graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London Mardahl has exhibited her work around the world and has been the recipient of several grants from the Danish Arts Council.
