Garbstore x Keen UNEEK 02

This summer, Garbstore has teamed up with Keen UNEEK on an exclusive, limited edition style.

On a constant quest for innovation, Keen UNEEK was born out of a desire to create an entirely new footwear concept that challenged the aesthetics and design of any other kind of sandal. The process began by examining the foot and redesigning every single piece of the sandal to compliment the shape of it. Originally crafted from 2 pieces of cord and a sole, the shoe has a look and feel like no other. The construction provides freedom whilst simultaneously providing structure and security.

As avid supporters of these design heroes, Garbstore wanted to fuse their signature aesthetic with Keen’s innovative design to create a shoe that represented the best of both brands. Based on the UNEEK 02 model, Garbstore x UNEEK combines premium white leather with interwoven purple and blue cord accents. With inspiration taken from the free-spirited era of the 1970’s, Garbstore references the tie-dye clothing and music festivals of that period.

Part sandal and part trainer, this minimalist concept takes the two-cord upper and pairs it with an enclosed, lightly cushioned heel panel for soft support and adaptability. A forefoot flex zone works with the natural motion of the foot for enhanced flexibility, whilst free-moving nylon cords deliver a glove-like, custom fit. For the ultimate summer shoe, a quick-drying Lycra® lining wicks moisture away. The result is a refreshing take on a shoe that offers comfort and design unlike any other.
