New to Garbstore this season, select pieces from Japanese cult streetwear brand Kapital's sub-label Kapital Kountry Remake and exclusive new designs just in time for summer from Netherlands based embroidery label Jupe by Jackie's menswear line J-B-J.
Taking inspiration from American vintage wear coupled with the history and tradition of Japanese craftsmanship together with new washing processes, Kapital Kountry Remake is a sub-brand of famed label Kapital. The stand-out piece from this line is the Heavy Linen Twill Thunderbird Coverall Jacket- a relaxed work jacket decorated taken from Kapital's mainline collection and re-worked with painted detailing, turquoise stone and tonal bead embroidery – in the guise of an orginal Mickey Mouse character and Native Americans - and a distressed effect throughout. From the darned neckline to the sanded buttons and subtle aging on the sleeves and hem, each piece from Kapital Kountry Remake has been individually re-worked for its own unique variations in tone and finish.
Cuban or Camp collar shirts have transitioned from a summer shirting trend to wardrobe staple in recent seasons, with one label dominating the silhouette; J-by-J. The menswear line by Netherlands based Jupe by Jackie, the latest collection of summery shirts feature hand embroidered, witty designs – from an animated Mariachi band to a graphic snake - that have been chosen by and are exclusive to Garbstore. J-by-J is driven by an enthusiasm for design and born out of a collaborative partnership with its makers and crafts people. The pieces are cut from all natural materials and individually hand-finished, creating the perfect shirt for summer.
