A curation of tractional crafts, Tribaliste is dedicated to supporting Berber and local craftsman in Morocco. Their Tamegroute pottery takes its name from a town in the south of the country, adjacent to the Sahara Desert, meaning ‘last place before the desert’. Traditionally the last stop for the caravans who travelled across the desert on camels, the town has 7 ovens belonging to 7 pottery families who create unique pieces crafted by various relatives, and pass the craft from one generation to the next. The pottery’s distinctive green colour is achieved by adding 1% copper to the glaze, resulting in a vivd characteristic with no two pieces the same.
