Himalayan Cashmere

Up in the highlands of the Himalayas lies the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu, where Susan Snyder set up the Himalayan Cashmere Company in 1995. The company provide materials to high-end designers including Ralph Lauren and Oscar de La Renta to name but a few. A small team of Nepalese artisans hand spin the yarn on wooden looms in order to preserve the quality of the cashmere. Plant-based dyes are also used, resulting in a pure, unprocessed colour palette.
