Created in 2016, Toasties is a French sheepskin accessories brand born out of a collaboration between Australian stylist Maria Lye and artisans from the Belleville district of Northern Paris. The label was created to bring comfort and warmth to daily life, with ethical, practical and colourful accessories that reflect Lye’s passion for the material and functional design.

Toasties was born out of the recycling of sheepskin, of which 20% was wasted in the Paris luxury-leather workshop where founder Maria Lye was employed. Lye has turned this into a full-blown accessories brand of which sheepskin, leather and wool are key components. The materials are recovered from offcuts of luxury fashion houses in Europe and Australia which are then transformed into items such as warm insoles and vibrant mittens.
