Brand Focus | Ace & Jig

Brand Focus | Ace & Jig
Born out of a mutual love for antique textiles, Ace & Jig was founded in 2009 by Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson who met during their time as fashion design interns in New York. Vaughan and Wilson set out to create a seasonless women's collection that's based around one fabrication: their own yarn-dye, woven fabric. Today, Vaughan and Wilson work closely with a small, family-run manufacturer that's based in India and who shares their core values and holistic kaizen philosophy of continuing to improve. Not only does the factory hire over 90% women - which is unusual for this industry as it is mainly men - they also provide free childcare and use reclaimed water to grow organic produce for their employees. Their Indian partners are experienced in traditional weaving techniques and each product is handmade in India in its entirety. Each Ace & Jig collection will consist of versatile pieces such as this season's Harper Dress that's crafted in their raven check or the ankle-length Estate Dress that can be thrown on, or reversible pieces like the button keyhole Project Top that can be worn front to back. From season to season, there will be a shift in colour and silhouette but each collection is anchored by the Ace & Jig signature stripe. The Ace & Jig's collections are as interesting in textile as they are in colour and pattern. Their effortless Spring Summer '16 collection can be worn many ways, for many years.
