Garbstore Focus

We take a look at the internal workings of three key Garbstore pieces, focusing on the importance of applying the right finish to the right fabric and looking into the functionality of the design and the garment. Minimising short cuts during the construction process, whether binding the inside of an entire unlined jacket or creating customised cotton tape to reinforce pockets, seams or stress points, are almost as important to us as the external workings and aesthetic. We encourage you to take an inside out look at these three garments..... The Flight Shirt has been a consistent silhouette in previous Garbstore collections - constructed from a pure cotton and cut for a regular fit, the Flight Shirt is finished with a reinforced back yoke, four front pockets and finished with the 'Double Standard' label trademark on chest pocket. A derivative of the Garbstore Flight Shirt, the Flight Jacket is designed for a straight, boxy fit and features a concealed zip-through front with press-stud fastening, two welt hand pockets and a single chest patch pocket with press-stud flap. The Flight Jacket is made from a heavyweight grey wool-blend and beautifully finished with bound inside seams. The Service Pants are another Garbstore staple with this season seeing the introduction of this style in a soft corduroy. Designed to sit on the waist and cut with a gradual taper, they give an easy relaxed fit. Finished with two front pockets, zip fly with hook and bar, and cotton twill tape drawstring at the waist.
