New Season SS21 preview

New Season SS21 preview
Take a look inside our buyers’ notebook as we look to the season ahead to preview some of the most hotly anticipated trends of Spring Summer. As always, we have plenty of cult favourites, new under-the-radar brands and collaborations you really don’t want to miss.
Get Trippy
Patchwork, smiley faces and tie-dye continue into SS21 as the fun-filled trippy revival stays with us throughout the summer. Expect a scattering of psychedelic imagery from the likes of Kapital, Story mfg., and NOMA t.d. as they offer their interpretations of boho counterculture. Lucid patterns and experimental dyes are at the heart of the new season that explores subcultures gone by to make sense of the present.
Exclusives
From L.A to New York and Tokyo to Seoul, our team of Buyer’s have scoured the globe to build a roster of new faces, under-the-radar brands and cult favourites unparalleled anywhere else.
Keep your eyes peeled for emerging Korean label Conichiwa Bonjour with their playful parodies on popular culture and a little closer to home, Garbstore favourites Story mfg come through with an exclusive indigo-dyed hand-embroidered jacket.
Home Comforts
As we continue to spend more time indoors, our comfortable WFH wardrobes are still the go-to choice for the summer. For SS21, Japanese masters of technical wear, nanamica have created wrinkle-free Alphadry garments to make that journey from couch to desk that little bit easier on your outfit.
If a touch of tailoring whilst maintaining comfort is your thing, look no further than Engineered Garment’s signature relaxed formalwear, as the New York based brand allows you to take those Zoom calls in style. From the waist up at least...
Limited Edition Collabs
As always, Garbstore is proud to stock collaborations from some of our favourite brands, from round the globe and 2021 is no different. Engineered Garments x Sebago embodies the enduring relationship between the Americana and Japanese aesthetic, while outdoor footwear purveyors Keen continue their esteemed Beams Plus collaboration.
Pop Trading Company revive their partnership with Miffy, whilst here at Garbstore we are stoked to have worked with the kings of Japanese premium luggage, PORTER for an exciting range of tie-dye bags. There is really no need to look any further for SS21’s most coveted collaborations.
Push The Boundaries Of Design
Fresh off a huge year including collabs with ASICS and a continued project with Cremate, London-based collective AFFIX take things above and beyond, this time exploring design through AI.
For the A.I Standardise Logo Tee, the AFFIX logo has been created using machine-learned technology whilst the 85DB Earplug Cap is a branded AFFIX baseball hat fitted with a retractable 85 decibel silicone earplugs that can be concealed above ear. We’re sold…
Graphic Tees
SS21 sees the backbone of any good outfit, the humble graphic tee continue its dominance in the world of streetwear and our summer buy suggests no different. Delve deep into our treasure chest of graphic tees from the likes of Heresy, Stüssy, Brain Dead, Gimme 5 and more…
