Garbstore - Staff pick of the week.
Garbstore's pick of the week is bought to you courtesy of Sally, our cheery office intern. Bedwin & The Heartbreakers With a name that wouldn?t look out of place at a music venue, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers are definitely one of my favourite menswear brands. When choosing something to wear it?s important to look for clothes that are practical, versatile, and won?t easily go out of fashion. However it?s still crucial to have that quirky twist that sets it apart from the rest. That?s why Tokyo based brand Bedwin & The Heartbreaker?s practical yet playful aesthetic really appeals to me. The reversible parker shirt says it all really. Versatile, practical, but still effortlessly cool. Pink and navy check on one side, pink on the other, a single chest pocket on both sides and reversible buttons. With their motto being ?Paramount Quality? they?re hardly going to fall short in that department. It?s all seen in the little details, such as the label on the front bottom left (both sides of course), and the barely noticeable red flag tag on the right cuff. What really sways it though is the lightweight fabric. 100% cotton gause, double-sided but definitely not bulky, because if you?re going to buy a shirt that?s fundamentally two shirts, you certainly don?t want to be breaking out a sweat feeling like you are actually wearing two shirts. Shirt aside, I can?t help but smile when I see the preppy football tee. The brand that was formally known as simply ?Bedwin? (before The Heartbreakers entered the stage in 2007), have played tribute to the artist formally known as ?Prince?, titling their new collection ?Raspberry Beret?. The football tee that comes in both a casual grey and a vivid green, bares the slogan across the front, making it a little bit of fun but still a durable piece of casual-wear nonetheless. Jackson college football sweat top by Bedwin and the Heartbreakers. Reversible Parker shirt by Bedwin and the Heartbreakers.
