NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH / EAST LONDON EDITION

We?re extending our reach in our Neighbourhood Watch this week for an East London special. On a recent trip to see one of our designers, we dropped in at Crate Brewery in Hackney Wick and were so impressed that we had to make an exception to our blog series to spread the love! In one over-eager shot put distance from the Olympic park (well, perhaps not quite), Crate Brewery was opened a few short weeks ago, just in time for the Games. Serving home-brewed beer and inventive pizzas over hand-made furniture in a canal-side warehouse, this is a great example of what East London is about for our millions of visitors this summer. The industrial furniture and fittings were all made from reclaimed and recycled materials by volunteers and members of the local Hackney Wick community. Crate offers a perfect hang-out before or after attending a sporting event or two, or perhaps just for those in the area and wanting to take in the view ? the Orbit structure and the Olympic stadium are within sight while sipping a beer or two outside. Some of the locals dropped by, too. https://www.cratebrewery.com/
