The Quality Mending Co. Part 1

The Quality Mending Company has been on the same block of Prince Street, lower Manhattan, since 2002, at which time, the vintage shop operated under a different name. It became increasingly apparent that select in-demand items were getting more difficult to track down, so in response, they started making their own products in 2010. During that time they found an old sign in an antique fair that read 'The Quality Mending Co', and the rest is history. Since then, have operated the entire business under that name. Drawing inspiration from vintage clothing and accessories, the collection has an of-the-moment sensibility. The high quality, modern fitting garments feature elements of heritage designs with a respect for the way things 'ought to be done' all of which is meticulously crafted within two miles of NYC, if not in their basement. The QM Oxford and Chambray shirts provide a timeless addition to any man's wardrobe. Designed with mother of pearl button-down collars, the shirts are cut for a classic fit for impeccable casual attire, which work year-round, worn left loose with everything from shorts to selvedge denim. The collection of small leather goods comprise of finely-crafted wallets and key fobs, hand tooled from English bridal leather and vegetable tanned for a rich depth of colour, be it brown, tan, or black, designed to consider leather's natural aging process, meaning in time you'll end up with a uniquely patterned worn-in piece. Finished with American-made hardware, the brass buttons, press-studs and keyring imbues durability and a satisfying weight. The latest collection certainly remains true to the Quality Mending Co.'s consistent theme of high-quality basics, and is available to shop now.
