In 2008, designer Emily Dyson and Ian Paley opened Couverture & the Garbstore in the heart of Notting Hill. In the basement, Ian Paley’s menswear brand, Garbstore, can be found.
Richly ensconced in the history of clothing produced after the Second World War, Garbstore mixes the old with the new to create contemporary clothing that references the past but with a modern edge. Combining elements from French, British and Japanese design, Garbstore pieces are re-imagined and made "historically new".
