Robert Jungmann is a keen environmentalist and conservationist who founded outdoor clothing brand Manastash in 1993 whilst attending college in Washington State. Jungmann sold Manastash in 2005 before leaving for a surf trip in Costa Rica where he started hand painting shirts and working with natural dyes and dyeing techniques such as batik and tie-dye. Jungmann moved back to California and searched for a good, local production facility who could create beautiful, handmade hemp t-shirts - this was where Jungmaven was born. Jungmaven is now designed and produced in Los Angeles, CA and sources high quality hemp and organic cotton to produce sweatshirts and t-shirts that are soft yet provide a little more structure. Jungmaven are always experimenting with new natural dyes and uses ingredients such as coffee, black tea, indigo, walnut and pomegranate to give each product its unique character. With their aim to "get everyone in a hemp t-shirt by 2020", Jungmaven's products are long lasting and more environmentally friendly than conventional cotton.
