Introducing: BasShu
Who doesn't love a good blanket to wrap yourself in at the end of the day? New to Couverture & The Garbstore is the Japanese label BasShu, whose series of quilts and blankets offer both comfort and style, inspired by the past.
Since its beginning in 2007, the brand has focused on using craftsmanship from Japan’s many expert artisans to create high-quality pieces crafted from wool and cotton, and using the ‘banshu weave’ – a technique from the Hyogo prefecture in Western Japan that comes from 200 years of technological tradition. The brand mixes its cultural knowledge with references to historical American embroidery of the early 1800s and 1900s to create distinctive pieces.
Add some colour and geometric design to your space and choose from our BasShu range.
