Porter SENSES Trunkshow
From the 19th September to the 10th October, we will be welcoming the Porter SENSES Trunkshow to The Garbstore. SENSES was formed by Porter Yoshida & Co. as a response to a request for comfortable luggage, making for a stress-free experience.
Having travelled the length of Japan, we are proud to be hosting the first international exhibition of the Trunkshow.
You can shop the collection here, read more about SENSES below, or come and experience the bags in-store at 188 Kensington Park Road.
SENSES is both a line of bags and a unique sensory experience designed to help you unwind and relax.
With handles, shoulder pads, and straps constructed from an innovative, multi-functional 'aGEL' material designed for softness and weight dispersion, SENSES bags relieve the pressure of your everyday carry, easing stress on your body. Each bag taps even further into your sensory arsenal, complete with soothing and naturally derived fragrance sachets that bring an immediate sense of relaxation and healing.
The SENSES pop-up is not only a place to explore the collection but also an invitation to engage all five senses. Step into a booth to experience the unique feel of aGEL or take in the calming aromas of Kyoto’s Koroho Shoeido, a company that has been crafting incense for over 300 years.
Porter Yoshida & Co. know more than their fair share about ensuring that your baggage provides an experience far beyond carrying goods, and this event is no exception.
Conceptualised in Tokyo and having travelled the length of Japan on an annual basis since 2022, this will be the first show outside of Japan.
To demonstrate how truly comfortable the Taica-developed aGel is, visitors are encouraged to drop a raw egg onto a sheet just 2cm thick - not quite the 18 metre fall that aGel is capable of cushioning, but we couldn’t ask you to climb six floors up!
Then, tap into world of scent with Koroho Shoeido. Fragrances which have been proven to reduce stress levels by up to 13%.
We'll also be giving free pins and carabiners to in-store visitors through our beloved Gacha Gacha machine.
Two articles of the SENSES collection will be available to purchase exclusively at The Garbstore, the SENSES Bottle Case and the SENSE ATM Purse. You can see the full collection below.
Not to mention, we've designed a capsule clothing collection in collaboration with Porter, including a sweatshirt, tees and a cap. Available to purchase in-store or online.
