25 Years of Couverture

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Couverture, a carefully curated destination for womenswear, jewellery and homeware.

Emily Dyson-Paley founded Couverture 25 years ago, with her collection of hand-embroidered bed linen and pyjamas on King’s Road, Chelsea. In 2008, the store relocated to Notting Hill, which allowed Emily and her husband Ian Paley, director and designer of The Garbstore, to establish one of London’s leading independent multi-brand boutiques.

Twenty-five years on, Emily’s original vision for Couverture remains unchanged: “To create a calm space where customers feel at ease, inspired by the mix of products, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, handmade items, and no big brands.” She describes the store as "friendly and offering something not easily found elsewhere, stocking low key pieces that make you smile, with a selection that blends the aspirational and the accessible, the everyday and the dress up."

To mark the occasion, Couverture is proud to unveil a series of exclusive collaborations with some of its most exciting brands and long-time creative partners. Special limited-edition drops will be released in September with names such as Renata Brenha, Donna Wilson, Sideline, Laite Works and more, each one a celebration of shared vision, craftsmanship and community.
