For SS23, Garbstore has collaborated with cult Californian footwear brand Simple for a tribute shoe celebrating the 90’s era, the decade in which Simple launched.
Funded by selling his entire collection of vintage Volkswagen camper vans in 1991, Eric Myer’s Simple was one of the early adopters to work with sustainable materials and one of the first footwear brands to put environmentally conscious fabrics at the core of its design.
The Garbstore x Simple OS Sneaker uses original colour shades from the brand’s early 90’s product catalogues alongside a subtle embossed logo detailing. The multi-panelled shoe is crafted using premium suede, upcycled rubber and a recycled PU foam insole for extra comfort. An icon in the skateboarding community of the 90’s, the OS Sneaker has evolved a culture of its own as a perfect casual shoe for everyday wear.
