Couverture & The Garbstore
We’re always looking to build on what we already have by adding new brands to The Garbstore roster - each with its own story to tell.

Based in Japan, A.PRESSE is a label focused on precision reproduction, recreating vintage garments with near-exact detail and limited output. Each piece is grounded in archival research, from fabric to fit, resulting in a collection that feels lived-in from the first wear. This latest drop includes faithful remakes of classic styles, built with rare components like deadstock oval eyelets and period-correct trims. Because of the limited nature of these materials, some pieces will not be made again, marking the final run for certain styles. With distribution kept intentionally tight, A.PRESSE maintains a focus on quality over scale. Every detail is considered, every element deliberate. The result is a collection that reflects deep knowledge of garment history and production.

Founded in Manchester in 1924, Umbro has deep roots in British football, known for its double diamond logo and long-standing ties to the terraces. This season, the brand partners with Italian retailer Slam Jam on a collection that reinterprets classic stadium style. Inspired by match-day security uniforms, the range blends formal elements with sportswear staples in a stripped-back palette. Umbro’s heritage remains front and centre with technical fabrics, sharp trims, and archival references brought into a new context. It’s a focused edit that bridges subculture and function, staying true to the brand’s DNA.

Based in Tokyo, Rice Nine Ten is a newer label exploring preppy staples through an offbeat lens. Founded in 2019, the brand twists familiar silhouettes into something stranger - chunky knits, oversized polos, and slouchy sweaters, all with skewed proportions and unexpected detailing. Drawing from American collegiate style and layering it with a distinctly Japanese sensibility, Rice Nine Ten balances expressive textures with practical cuts. The result is a collection that feels playful but grounded. Each piece reflects the brand’s ongoing interest in distortion and reinterpretation, often favouring slubbed yarns, dropped shoulders, and bold colour blocking. Now part of our growing roster of Japanese labels, Rice Nine Ten brings fresh energy to our knitwear offering.
