Based in Tokyo, ssstein was founded in 2016 by Kiichiro Asakawa, gaining attention for modern tailoring and thoughtful casualwear. The brand began with three trouser designs at Asakawa’s shop Carol and has since expanded into a full collection of tops, outerwear, and knits.

Known for restrained silhouettes, ssstein combines original Japanese textiles with Italian fabrics from Olmetex and LIMONTA. Treatments such as pigment washes, sulphur dyeing, and layered finishes give depth and texture to familiar shapes. Signature pieces include docking coats, flight jackets, and tailored blazers, while knitwear and shirts explore soft, nuanced colours. The label continues to develop a language of modern menswear rooted in craft, functionality, and subtle expression.

Wythe reinterprets classic Americana through careful construction and considered fabrics. The brand draws on icons of the past, from Oxford shirts and denim pearl snaps to grey sweatshirts, remade to retain their character while fitting for today. Wythe works with Bedford cord, rigid and raw denim, and Shetland wool to produce garments built to last and be passed down. Each piece reflects the spirit of vintage American style, from preppy staples to heirloom-quality knits and outerwear.

Here at Garbstore, we are among a small group of stockists offering access to Wythe’s grounded approach to modern Americana.
