We’re always looking to build on what we already have by adding new brands to The Garbstore roster—each with its own story to tell.
We're welcoming CIOTA this season, a brand born from a sewing factory and denim manufacturer in Okayama, Japan. With a focus on authenticity and quality, the collection shows the brand’s strength in handling every step of production in-house—from material development to design and sewing. The result is a range of timeless, well-made basics that reflect its commitment to attention to detail.

Widely regarded as a global leader in athletic footwear, Mizuno is a well-established brand hailing from Osaka, Japan, founded in 1906 by Rihachi and Rizo Mizuno. Initially selling Western sundries and baseballs, the label then expanded into athletic wear, becoming a pioneer of the industry. Today, Mizuno is renowned worldwide for its high-tech running silhouettes, featuring the brand’s innovative Wave technology for superior cushioning. Their latest Y2K-inspired collection reimagines two of its iconic models, the Wave Prophecy LS and Wave Rider 10.

Founded in 2020, Carter Young is a New York-based designer label that draws heavily from Americana and menswear tailoring. With roots in Detroit, the brand channels iconic references like Easy Rider and William Eggleston’s photography, reinterpreting classic silhouettes with a laid-back, lived-in feel. Each collection is built on a foundation of natural fibers, often with vintage washes for the perfectly pre-worn feel.

Based in Sagae, Japan, BATONER began as a factory specialising in knitwear for many renowned Japanese brands. Drawing on decades of expertise, they’ve established their own line, crafting every piece from natural materials like wool and cashmere—designed to last and be cherished for generations. With the support of local artisans and the use of evolving techniques, BATONER offers knitwear that blends heritage with innovation.

This season we're also welcoming back NÒMARYTHM TEXTILE, originally launched as NOMA t.d. in 2005, a Tokyo-based brand blending traditional Japanese tailoring with modern textile design. Founded by Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki, the brand combines not only hand-drawn designs but also embroidered and flecked fabrics with practical silhouettes. Known for refined materials like mohair, twill, and Japanese denim, NÒMARYTHM TEXTILE adds playful motifs and floral accents to coordinated pieces, making it a standout in contemporary fashion.
