Chinoko Sakamoto: When Form and Function Combine

Chinoko Sakamoto: When Form and Function Combine

Chinoko Sakamoto is a London-based Japanese artist. Taking inspiration from ancient East-Asian tableware to Mediterranean ritual pots, she creates objects that are a fine balance between form and function. Focusing on ceramics, Chinoko’s work can often be linked back to ideas she has connected with in her art history studies. Recently graduating from University of the Arts, London Camberwell College of Arts, she regularly exhibits in the UK and is very much on Couverture’s one-to-watch radar.
