Kapital

Kapital
Autumn has arrived and we have a few treats from the East... We are welcoming a new brand to The Garbstore from Japan, Kapital. Kapital started as a company in Okayama, Japan; where a lot of denim mills are located. They started in 1984 as a sewing company and were renowned for their love of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We have picked a few pieces that are perfect for the British climate... First off is the Camp Jacquard Denim Cactus coverall. The repeat pattern used is a camping scene up in the mountains where the hikers have set up their tent for the night. As it's based on a work overall it comes with a chest utility pocket and a flap patch pocket. Branded metal buttons also add a very nice touch to the jacket... 60/40 Cloth Nylon Parka. This multi-functional piece has 2 different looks to it. The first is a standard waist length mountain jacket with 2-way hand pockets and 4 internal patch pockets. By unfastening the press stud front closure and rear and side velcro panels, the coat unfolds into a full length Parka with contrast lower half which allows it to function as either a sleeping bag or the perfect festival coat! U.S Navy Melton Sashiko Mackinaw Jacket. This piece is based on the classic Mackinaw double breasted jacket. The stand out detailing on this jacket is on the collar where they have used a traditional Japanese craft called "Sashiko" stitching which translates as "little stabs" and this technique is not just for decorative reasons but to reinforce the patchworks. The Shirt Moleskin Ring coat is something Kapital call a "TRI-P Coat" Where there a 3 different ways to do up the coat as you can see in the picture below (courtesy of the Kapital Blog) All pieces in-store now and online... Make sure you don't miss out on them!
