As part of our move towards becoming more sustainable, you might have noticed recently that our packaging has had a little facelift.
Although convenient and often recyclable, In Europe, 70% of recyclable plastics still end up in either landfill or oceans. To try and reduce our impact, moving forward we’ll be updating the way we send parcels out, phasing out the recycled plastics in our current packaging into fully recyclable or biodegradable options.
These include a sturdy kraft paper mailer with soy-based ink sticker, home compostable bio bag and a 100% recyclable collect in-store bag with knitted paper rope handles. Apart from the biodegradable bag which can be easily composted at home, all other components of our packaging will now be 100% recyclable and accepted in both home and commercial recycling sites.

HAY x Emma Kohlmann
HAY’s latest collaboration with artist Emma Kohlmann brings her painterly touch to the table. For La Pittura, Kohlmann translates her loose, watercolour-like motifs onto stoneware plates, bowls, cups, trivets, a jug and a vase, each piece holding the tactility of clay and the immediacy of a painting. Made to be used and lived with, yet striking enough to display, they blur the line between functional object and art.
