mfpen AW23
mfpen presents its debut womenswear collection for the Autumn/Winter '23 season.
Founded in 2015 by Sigurd Bank, mfpen has been creating contemporary yet understated menswear for almost a decade, and having clearly reached a winning formula, it's no shock that the Copenhagen label is now introducing its debut womenswear collection.
Steering clear from trends, the label prefers to quietly hone its signature, slouchy silhouette across a selection of staple pieces and seasonal highlights. With responsible production at its core, each garment is made from either deadstock fabrics – sourced from factories in Portugal and Italy – or recycled and organic fibres.
Referencing bands and artists of the post-punk and new wave era, such as The Smiths, Ian Curtis and The Specials, the AW23 collection continues to disrupt the dress codes of business and formal attire. Standout styles range from the fuzzy Motive overcoat, cut with exaggerated peak labels, to favourites from the men’s line, like seersucker shirting and the Regular jeans.
